Zymachi: sinossi illustrata

28 Nov 2009

Link to this article

Tableformer

07 Giu 2009

My son finally deserved a desk. He’s a Transformer fan, and I had some Lack shelves to be recycled. The structure is made of Broder rails and cantilevers, the desk itself with the shelves, silver and red, in perfect “transformer style”. The height of the working surfaces can be changed following child growth. (Please note that “Lack” and “Broder” items can be named differently in your country). I bonded the shelves toghether with a screw bar tightened by nuts. Note how the bar fits in an existing channel (if you ever mounted a Lack you know what it’s for), so you don’t have to drill much. Then I screwed the shelves to the cantilever. The result is sturdy enough, I climbed on the desk just to check. The front edge has capped nuts, and it looks pretty neat. Check all my Ikea hacks. Ride the Seismic Wave

18 Apr 2009

The Abruzzo earthquake (5th April 2009) seemed to touch the open wounds of italian political situation.  Mr. Berlusconi is always ready to ride the wave of tragedies, even when he is directly responsible. Consider that the governments that he leaded produced disasters to the Italian territory and it’s building consistency (“Condono edilizio” of 1994 and 2004). In the months before the Abruzzo earthquake, he once more delayed the introduction of a more strict anti-seismic building code. Shortcuts in the application of these codes were also suggested in the first versions of his anti-crisis “Piano Casa”. Then came the wave. Left is Durer‘s “Death and the Landsknecht” (see gallery on Artsy). Skeleton surfer (right) is manufactured by the Garcia Family. I have a few other images featuring Mr. Berlusconi: President Obama was bothered by a fly and by Mr. Berlusconi but got rid of them both. Next, you have to read Larsson‘s “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” to understand the one on the right. The original painting is by Filippo Panseca, former “Regime Architect” during the Craxian Age.  Painting depicts Mr. Berlusconi with minister Carfagna (a sex addict with a cocksucker).

EGGcarton

04 Mar 2009

An installation made with Giorgia Curti and Enrica Vatteroni at Crack!, Forte Prenestino, June 2008. A cartoonish room is mirrored by its inverted counterpart. The video was shot and edited by Enrica, along with the soundtrack that actually looped during the show.
Drawings were scanned and plotted at full size, then glued on a carton backing. Visitors were disoriented by the absence of their own reflection in the cutout mirror. Link to this article
