The Abruzzo earthquake (5th April 2009) seemed to touch the open wounds of italian political situation.  Mr. Berlusconi is always ready to ride the wave of tragedies, even when he is directly responsible. Consider that the governments that he leaded produced disasters to the Italian territory and it’s building consistency (“Condono edilizio” of 1994 and 2004). In the months before the Abruzzo earthquake, he once more delayed the introduction of a more strict anti-seismic building code. Shortcuts in the application of these codes were also suggested in the first versions of his anti-crisis “Piano Casa”. Then came the wave. Left is Durer‘s “Death and the Landsknecht” (see gallery on Artsy). Skeleton surfer (right) is manufactured by the Garcia Family. I have a few other images featuring Mr. Berlusconi: President Obama was bothered by a fly and by Mr. Berlusconi but got rid of them both. Next, you have to read Larsson‘s “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” to understand the one on the right. The original painting is by Filippo Panseca, former “Regime Architect” during the Craxian Age.  Painting depicts Mr. Berlusconi with minister Carfagna (a sex addict with a cocksucker).

An installation made with Giorgia Curti and Enrica Vatteroni at Crack!, Forte Prenestino, June 2008. A cartoonish room is mirrored by its inverted counterpart. The video was shot and edited by Enrica, along with the soundtrack that actually looped during the show.
Drawings were scanned and plotted at full size, then glued on a carton backing. Visitors were disoriented by the absence of their own reflection in the cutout mirror. Link to this article

It could be the storyboard of a short animation. It starts with the Capsule Baby suspended from the ceiling. The suspension tubes slowly turn to be the fingers of the Weeping Father, that embraces and cuddles the Baby, and finally lays it down, just in front of the Eyless Dogs (just like dogs on a share, fascists, fundamentalists and criminals, contend the carcass of our unfortunate country). Thank you Mr. Englaro, your courage and respect is an example for all of us. A MASH-UP is a derivative work consisting of two pieces of (generally digital) media conjoined together, such as a video clip with a different soundtrack applied for humorous effect, or a digital map overlaid with user-supplied data. (Retrieved from “http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/mashup“) The following, created by Gabriele Guerra, is a very ambitious mash-up: instead of a mere trailer, it re-edits two whole movies, ending up with almost an hour of good quality entertainment. What is really impressive of the operation, is that the two sources are not ridiculized, but almost strengthened in their assumptions and drama.
