I made these drawings twenty years ago. It was a very productive period, I was trying to develop a personal style (maybe too much “overloaded”). There was a lot of pencil and pattern overlap. Along with my partners F. and C. Perilli, I designed an eight storey residential building in Rome. Concrete structure was completed in july 2010. Design team included Enrica Vatteroni and Genny Terzulli. Together we made a navigational system that shows the whole building by means of panoramic renders and animations. Zymachi is an animation I’m working on. Before confronting with the storyboard itself, I made a graphic synopsis, a descriptive text matched with sketches of the characters and locations. Last Friday I went with my daughter Anna to Forte Prenestino, at the Crack! indipendent comic Festival. She came with some handmade puppets to sell and comics to show. I came with some copies of a book I made out of theĀ Zymachi illustrated synopsis, book available in a online bookshop. Needlees to say that my daughter’s puppets went sold out! Link to this article
