Walter, un compagno di squadra, è di stanza su una piattaforma petrolifera al largo delle coste africane. Per tenersi in forma si allena sul ponte di atterraggio dell’elicottero, un rettangolo 15×15 senza parapetto e a 40m di altezza. Per fare un km in velocità deve percorrere 20 giri inclinato verso l’interno. – Walter, a team mate, is working on an offshore rig. He trains on the helicopter landing deck, running round 20 times/km… PM, Villa Giuseppina. 3km FP (13’18), STR, 1km (3’34), R, 1km (3’54). Il mio circuito ha un raggio ben maggiore di quello di Walter, ma con saliscendi e curve a gomito. Oggi record della pista, che mi ha tagliato le gambe per il resto dell’allenamento. Scusatemi ma dopo essere cresciuto con gli originali (“Le scimmiate” in gergo familiare) mi rifiuto di vedere questi squallidi remake… – In italian Planet= Pianeta and Pinewood= Pineta.
