La maratona a staffetta non è andata benissimo, la prima squadra è arrivata quarta, le altre due non erano all’altezza. Ho fatto un po’ di errori nella preparazione che mi hanno portato ad un risultato personale deludente, le vignette raccontano tutto. Sull’altro piatto della bilancia abbiamo una villa Borghese splendida ed una manifestazione molto piacevole. – I didn’t run very well in the relay marathon, due to some errors in the preparation. On the other hand villa Borghese was wonderful, and the race in itself is enjoyable. Link to this article

Una buona parte dell’energia viene sprecata nel tentativo di trovare scuse plausibili. Certo che se non telefonassero uno avrebbe tempo di lavorare! – In italian when you look for pathetic excuses they say that you are climbing on glass. As an architect I’m a good climber. Questa l’ho pensata nel bel mezzo di un funerale. L’officiante sottolineava il turbamento di Gesù di fronte al tumulo di Lazzaro. Anche i figli di Dio ogni tanto hanno bisogno di una mano, e non è sempre la Chiesa a dargliela… – Vatican is strictly against embryo stem cell research. -“Jesus, it’s ok resurrecting him, but why not in a better shape?” -“We have stem cells for that!” Link to this article

Mentre corro mi capita di vedere con la coda dell’occhio animali o persone dove magari ci sono una pietra o un cartello stradale. Stamattina ho avuto la netta sensazione di vedere questa macchina capovolta… – While I run it happens that I see dogs or people in place of rocks or road signs. This morning I’ve seen a car, upside down! AM, Villa Pamphili. 3,5km L, 2km (8’48), R, 1km (3’43), 2km L, STR. Volevo fare semplicemente 3km a ritmo gara (4’15), e invece sono partito a razzo nel primo km smosciandomi nel finale. Del km successivo non ne parliamo nemmeno. Io ‘sta staffetta la vedo e non la vedo… Link to this article
